Brose Bamberg hires German top player Christian Sengfelder

Brose Bamberg has secured the long-term services of national player Christian Sengfelder. The 24-year-old comes from Basketball Löwen Braunschweig and has signed a three-year contract until 2022 with the nine-time German champion. Sengfelder is one of the best German wing players and was one of the most courted Free Agents.

Leo De Rycke: "Chris' commitment is the first building block for our new identity. He has been courted by many top German clubs because there are few player types like him that are so versatile and also have an enormously high basketball IQ. He is characterized by an enormous winning mentality. In addition, he always takes one step more and to where it hurts. We are very happy that he has chosen our project and signed a long-term contract”.

Christian Sengfelder: “I had many honest discussions with those responsible. Coach Moors, Leo De Rycke, Arne Dirks - they all convinced me of the Brose Bamberg project. I am sure that I can take my next step here. Also because with Stefan Weissenböck there is one of the best individual coaches in Europe, with whom I will work daily on my personal game in order to become even more variable. I am very happy to be a part of Brose Bamberg now”.

Christian Sengfelder started his basketball career at TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. He came to Braunschweig last season via Ehingen/Urspring, Fordham and Boise State University. There he scored an average of 11.3 points in 37 games and secured 5.9 rebounds. In February, he was also appointed to the roster of the German national basketball team.
