In Banvit it was until the end a narrow box. After the first leg victory (81:79) Brose could have afforded a narrow defeat. But Federico Perego’s squad didn’t want to let that happen. Although they lost an interim eleven-point lead (46:35, 19.) and it was a minute before the end 81:81 draw. In the end, however, Hickman and Rice kept their nerves on the free-throw line and thus secured Bamberg’s success. Top scorer was Tyrese Rice with 32 points.
Federico Perego: "It was one of our hardest games of the season. It's incredibly hard to play here. Not only because of the team, but also because of the incredible fans. Many big teams have already lost here. But we have found a way. We started well and had another good phase at the end of the first half. It was a great victory for us."
